Housewife allegedly kills husband with pestle over side Chic
A housewife, Omolara Oluwakemi, allegedly smashed her husband’s head with a pestle while he was asleep in the town of Akungba, Akoko Southwest Local Government Area.
The incident, which resulted in the death of Seidu Jamiu, occurred following an altercation the couple had over Jamiu’s alleged infidelity.
Witnesses reported that they were called for help by Oluwakemi during the night, only to discover Jamiu unconscious and bleeding heavily. Chief Awesu, one of the witnesses, recounted seeing Jamiu in a pool of blood, confirming there had been a dispute about a side chick.
Jamiu was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital. Oluwakemi has since been detained by the police and transferred to the police headquarters for further investigation. Sympathizers noted that Jamiu had recently bought a car for his wife.
Ondo Police spokesman, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, stated that Oluwakemi reported the incident to the police, claiming her husband was killed by unknown assailants. Odunlami-Omisanya added that no arrests have been made yet and that an investigation is ongoing.
