Housewife reveals what breastfeeding her Husband has done to their relationship
Rachel Bailey, a 30-year-old mother of three, has shared that she breastfeeds her husband, Alexander, also 30.
According to Rachel, this practice has strengthened their relationship and benefitted Alexander’s health.
Since he started breastfeeding in 2017, Alexander has not had a cold and has received numerous compliments on his skin.
Rachel initially began this practice to manage her overproduction of milk while nursing their children.
She said: “When my middle child, Aria, now six, was breastfeeding, I went away on a cruise with Alexander.
“However, I forgot my breast pump and was badly engorged for two days.
“I was in so much pain and I was scared about getting an infection, so we decided that my husband was going to try drinking the milk to relieve me.
“We were nervous about the idea of him breastfeeding from me but as soon as we did it, we realized it was perfectly fine.
“ it was an instant relief when Alexander latched on.
“On top of that, it has also created a more special bond between us which we never would have had if we didn’t start this.”
During the peak of her milk production shortly after giving birth, he was consuming her milk “three to four times a day.”
“I love breastfeeding him as it allows us to spend quality time together. It’s definitely brought us closer as a couple,” she explained.
She used to breastfeed her husband at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but now that her milk production has decreased, she only does so at night.
She emphasised that her children remain her top priority and that she ensures they are fed first before Alexander receives any remaining milk.
The family resides in the United States.
