I am not weak– Governor Fubara reacts to Rivers political crisis

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara has expressed on Sunday that the ongoing crisis in the state was permitted by God to help perfect “political freedom.”

Despite the challenges, Fubara emphasized that he is becoming stronger each day, rather than weakened by the situation.

The governor made these remarks during a thanksgiving service held at the Shepherd’s Hill Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), where he celebrated the appointment of His Royal Majesty, Eze Chike Worlu Wodo, as Chairman of the Rivers State Traditional Rulers Council.

Fubara also noted that neither he nor his team has been overwhelmed by the crisis, attributing their resilience to the divine support they have received.

He said, “I also believe that what you are calling trouble is not trouble to me. I see it as God’s purpose for a new direction for our State.
“He has taken us higher, right from the first day, which is why, rather than getting weak, we are getting stronger and bolder everyday.

“We want to finish our work, and our story will be those who led with the fear of God. We might not be perfect in everything, but in the end, there should be a reason why the angels should not allow our bodies to be taken by the devil.”
This is coming amid the feud the State Governor has with his predecessor, Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike.
