“Michael Jackson was a very humble man and I’ll forever respect him. He called me on my 18th birthday and told me that he wanted to work with me. When I first got Michael Jackson’s call, it was my manager who picked up the phone and he told me: “Hey Chris, Michael Jackson is on the phone and he wants to speak with you.” And i was like stóp playing with me, Michael Jackson can’t call me. But he insisted, so I got the phone and Michael Jackson’s manager who probably took the phone from Michael Jackson because I was hesitating to take the call was like “Please hold for Michael Jackson.” But then I waited for like 2-minutes and I was like hey, are you guys prankîng me? But then Michael Jackson actually got on the phone and said “Hello, happy birthday Chris.” with his soft voice and I was like mehn this is cräzy, Michael Jackson just called me for my birthday. It fęlt really great but what got me emotional was I was supposed to go see him the day he dîed.💔 Like at the Staples where Michael Jackson was rehearsing for “This Is It Tour”. And me and Jamie Foxx was to actually go to the venue and just watch the rehearsal, he wanted to show us the show. We were supposed to meet Michael Jackson at 12 o’clock in the afternoon. I was so anxious but then his manager called and told me that he was sîck that day and he’s not sure Michael Jackson is gonna come in. Then I later saw on TV that Michael Jackson was déad and I was dévastéd and I’m still sad about it to this day.” ~ Chris Brown
