IGP Egbetokun approves posting of police public relations officers

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Olukayode Egbetokun, has authorized the deployment of dedicated Police Public Relations Officers (PPROs) and Deputy Public Relations Officers (DPRO) at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.

According to a statement from the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the appointments aim to enhance community engagement and strategic communication within the police force.

CSP Isuku Victor Edailokun has been appointed Deputy Force Public Relations Officer at the Force Headquarters, Abuja. At the same time, several other officers have been assigned to various PPRO roles across different states.

The newly appointed officers and their respective portfolios include:

  • DSP Ukandu Joshua: PPRO Ebonyi
  • ASP Buhari Abdullahi: PPRO Gombe
  • ASP John Timfon: PPRO Akwa-Ibom
  • ASP Hundeyin Isaac Sewanu: PPRO Ports Authority Police (Western) Lagos

The statement emphasized the IGP’s dedication to standardizing and repositioning the police force in line with his vision statement.
