JUST IN; CP calls for arrest of Police officer and his team extorting bus drivers

The Imo State Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, has called for the arrest of a police officer and his team over extortion from commercial bus drivers.

This was disclosed in a statement shared on the X handle of the command’s Spokesman, Henry Okoye, on Sunday, October 13.

In a video shared online, a policeman was seen collecting money from commercial bus drivers plying the route.

Okoye vowed to “personally identify these officers and share their details here to show that the command has zero tolerance for extortion.”

He added that the CP has also ordered that
“Disciplinary actions will be taken against them to serve as a warning to others,” he added.
