JUST IN: Group commends IGPs appointment of AIG as first female Force Secretary
Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) felicitates with the Assistant Inspector General of Police, (AIG) Yetunde Longe, over her recent appointment as the first female Force Secretary.
This is contained in a statement signed by the National Chairperson, NAWOJ, Hajia Aisha Ibrahim on Thursday in Lagos.
Ibrahim described AIG Longe as a dedicated officer, who had worked hard through the years to attain the amiable height.
She described the appointment as well deserved, while commending the Inspector General of Police, Mr Kayode Egbetokun, for having faith in women’s capacity which propelled him to appoint Longe as the first force secretary.
“In this capacity, AIG Longe, will be responsible for overseeing the secretariat functions of the Force Headquarters and ensuring that policies and directives of the IGP were implemented effectively.
“Longe will also coordinate the affairs of senior police officers, amongst other responsibilities,” Ibrahim said. (NAN).
