JUST IN; New Commissioner of Police assumes duty in Abia State

A new Commissioner of Police for Abia, Mr Danladi Isa, has assumed duty, according to the command’s official statement.

The Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Maureen Chinaka, disclosed this in a statement issued in Umuahia and made available to newsmen on Wednesday.

Chinaka stated that Isa hails from Oganenigu, Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi and holds a B.Sc. in Chemistry from Ahmadu Bello University, plus an MBA from Imo State University.

She also disclosed that the new Abia Police boss joined the Nigeria Police as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police in 1992 and has undergone extensive policing and strategic leadership trainings.

She added that Isa, who had served at other levels in the force, was the Commissioner of Police (Admin), Force Criminal Investigation Department Annex, Alagbon, Lagos before his posting to Abia.

The statement solicited the cooperation and support of stakeholders and Abia residents to him to enable him to succeed in the onerous task of securing the state. (NAN)
