Nigerian President Bola Tinubu Has sent strong warning to promoters of ‘Igbo must go’ campaign

President Bola Tinubu has vowed that the law will definitely catch up with those promoting vicious campaigns against any ethnic group in Nigeria.

Tinubu made this promise in a nationwide broadcast to Nigerians on Sunday morning.

A social media platform, Lagospedia on X (now deactivated) has been calling on Igbo people to vacate Lagos and Southwest of Nigeria and brace up for a massive hashtag.

Nationwide outrage and condemnation trailed the genocidal campaign which originated from Lagospedia.

The handle has been allegedly traced to one Olamide Ifeoluwa Bolaji with co-admins which include: Emmanuel Abayomi Oyalami, Segun Sellinton Anibaba, Afusat Ipaye Oliyide and Adewunmi Taiwo DewBay.

Unanimously many Nigerians have called on President Bola Tinubu to direct the security agencies to fish out the culprits and bring them to book for their attempt at thwarting the peace of the nation at this critical moments.

Tinubu in his address said no one should take advantage of the ongoing protest by threatening any section of the country.

He declared that there is no place for ethnic bigotry in the nation.

He said:

“To those who have taken undue advantage of this situation to threaten any section of this country, be warned: The law will catch up with you. There is no place for ethnic bigotry or such threats in the Nigeria we seek to build.

“Nigeria requires all hands on deck and needs us all – regardless of age, party, tribe, religion or other divides, to work together in reshaping our destiny as a nation”.
