Nnobi Bloodbath: A Tragic Consequence of Insecurity
The Nnobi bloodbath is a hòrrõr better imagined than witnessed. It began with a foiled kidnápping attempt in Nnewi, prompting the Nnewi vigilante group to pursue the gunmen to Nnobi. When the gunmen finally got tired of fleeing, they engaged in a deadly shöōtout with the vigilante group, resulting in multiple fätålities and casuálties.
Five innocent lives were lost, including two Nnewi security personnel and three Nnobi residents – among them a newly bride who had waited years for her husband’s return from abroad.

I pray for the safe return of the kidnãppêd victim in Nnobi. May God console the families of the bereaved, grant the fallen brethren eternal rest, and grant the surviving victims a quick recovery.
To our aged parents who have high BP and other illnesses due to panic, may God see each and every one of you through.
Anambra State government should adopt a new strategy to combat the growing insecurity that has plagued our once-peaceful state.
