Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti, has voiced skepticism regarding the recently unveiled 2024 billionaire roster published by the American magazine, Forbes. The report details how the combined wealth of these five individuals has soared to a staggering $869 billion since the onset of the COVID-19 lockdown.

In response, Kuti adamantly dismissed the authenticity of the list, contending that such accumulation of wealth is implausible, asserting, “no one can work that hard.”

Speaking via his social media page, he said: “The world’s 5 richest men since lockdown, have increased their wealth to a combined total of 869bn US dollars.

“That means they can spend 1 million dollars a day for the next 476 years. No one can work that hard. We have been lied to.”
