He stated that the captives inside would remain unaware of external events, such as weather changes, making these caves an effective hideout for the bandits. He also disclosed that numerous neglected forests in Mpape were previously exploited by bandits for kidnappings.

He said in an interview with Channels TV, ‘”There are a lot of abandoned forests in Mpape that these bandits used to use for kidnapping. You can’t believe that from yanyan going to Mpape, there are about four caves that they use. One of the caves used for kidnapping in Mpape can contain more than 200 people. And people can be inside without knowing what is going on outside. They won’t know whether rain is falling or not. We have dominated all these boundaries, caves and mountains.”
