Paris 2024 Qualifier: Super Falcons played to win in South Africa – Ajibade

Maduka Okoye can’t hide his disappointment following Udinese’s late defeat to Inter Milan on Monday night.

Udinese took the lead five minutes before the break through Lazar Samardzic

The visitors however fought back with Hakan Calhanoglu equalising from the penalty spot in the 55th minute.

Davide Frattesi broke the hearts of the home fans by netting the winning goal in fifth minute of stoppage time.

“It’s a shame it ended like this. We played a good game, yet we didn’t get any points, ‘” Okoye told the club’s official website.

The Zebras currently occupy 15th position on the Serie A table and will now need to fight hard to beat the drop.

“We are aware of the situation we find ourselves in and how much this means for us, the club and the fans. I don’t see fear in the locker room ,but we feel the tension, as happens in this sport when you experience periods like that,” Okoye added.

” Now escaping relegation is the most important thing in our lives, but we want to think step by step. Now in our heads there is only Rome . ”
