Peter Obi should learn from Tinubu example of supporting party members – Isiguzoro to Obi

According to the Guardian, Ohanaeze Ndigbo has urged Peter Obi, the former Labour Party presidential candidate, to take a page from Bola Tinubu’s book on loyalty to party members. According to Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, Secretary General of the Chidi Ibeh faction, Obi’s absence at Governor Alex Otti’s anniversary event and his failure to publicly acknowledge Otti’s achievements are concerning signs of disunity within their ranks. Isiguzoro stressed the importance of Obi reconciling with Otti, saying, “Peter Obi should learn from Tinubu’s example of supporting party members like Governors Fashola, Ambode, and now Sonwu-Olu. It’s crucial for party progress and unity.”

Isiguzoro further emphasized, “If Peter Obi and Governor Otti cannot resolve their differences, Ohanaeze Ndigbo will step in to ensure necessary measures are taken to rectify the situation.” He urged both leaders to prioritize unity for the collective benefit of the Igbo people, emphasizing the need for Obi to actively mend fences and support fellow party members for the party’s advancement and community cohesion.
