Simon Ekpa’s Deputy, Ngozi Orabueze, Announces Recruitment for ‘Biafran Airforce, Navy, and Special Squads
Ngozi Orabueze, the deputy to Simon Ekpa, the detained Finland-based self-proclaimed Prime Minister of the United States of Biafran Government in Exile (USB), has announced the commencement of recruitment into the Biafran security forces.
The announcement, dated December 25, 2024, was titled “Announcement of Conscription Call to Serve the United States of Biafra Security Forces” and was co-signed by Solomon N., identified as the Secretary of Defence.
According to the statement, the recruitment drive aims to enlist agitators into various branches of the Biafran armed forces, including:
Biafra Defence Forces
Biafra Liberation Army
Biafra Navy
Biafra Airforce
Special Squads
The statement read in part : “The USB, under PM Simon Ekpa and represented by the COS/DPM and Defence Minister, is calling on all eligible Biafran citizens to join the Biafra Defence Forces, Liberation Army, Navy, Airforce, and Special Squads. This recruitment is decentralized through state commanders, deputy commanders, state administrators, and special trainees.
“The mission is to strengthen our armed forces against reintegrated terrorists disguised as members of the Nigerian military and police. This is critical to safeguarding the sovereignty and geographical integrity of the newly declared nation – the United States of Biafra.”
The recruitment initiative appears to be part of a broader strategy to bolster the armed wings of the movement amid ongoing separatist agitations.
