In a world where selfless people are few, Verydarkblackman has consistently shown his commitment to humanity. Despite the storm of accusations and doubts surrounding him, I, as the admin of the Igbo History Facebook page, stand firmly with him. He has won my heart with his unwavering dedication to serving others, and I believe in him completely.
There have been many who question his claims about his NGO account being hacked, some mocking him, others calling him names. I have seen people who are almost eager for his downfall. But this is not new in our society—especially in Nigeria, where good deeds are often met with suspicion and disdain. No matter how much good you do, there will always be those who doubt your intentions and celebrate your misfortune. Sadly, this is why so many people choose not to do good at all in Nigeria.
But for me, I see something different in Verydarkblackman. I may not trust easily, but when I do, it’s because I see something genuine. I trust him. While I may not be perfect and could be wrong, I truly believe that if he says his account was hacked, then it absolutely was.
To those who question how a website linked to his NGO account, could lead to an NGO account being hacked, I want to share something I discovered in my research on this. The truth is, an account linked to a website displaying sensitive information like balances is at risk, as is the case with his NGO, if proper security measures aren’t in place. Here’s how it could happen:
1. If the website is poorly secured, hackers can exploit weaknesses to access and manipulate sensitive data, including financial details.
2. If the website uses an API to fetch account data and it isn’t secured properly, hackers can intercept or alter these requests.
3. Hackers could use publicly accessible financial information to target the NGO’s administrators or even the bank, impersonating them to gain unauthorized access.
4. If access to the website or bank account is secured with weak passwords or lacks multi-factor authentication, it becomes easier for hackers to gain control.
5. A compromised website could spread malware or phishing links, stealing credentials from both administrators and visitors.
Verydarkblackman went to great lengths to link a website to his NGO account in an effort to be transparent with Nigerians. His aim was to provide updates on how money enters and leaves the account and to allow everyone—whether they donated or not—to monitor how the funds would be spent. Little did he know that some people were plotting against him. Those he fought to recover money stolen from Nigerians are now working against him. People he stopped from selling fake skincare products are scheming for his downfall. Those who oppose his efforts to support public schools—where the NGO funds were meant to help provide quality education to poor Nigerian children—are also trying to tear him down. And sadly, some who don’t even know why they hate him are celebrating and calling him a scammer.
My brother, Verydarkblackman, this is undoubtedly a trying time for you, but I want you to know that there are many people like me who will always stand by you. We believe in your integrity, and we know that this storm will pass. People may try to bring you down, but your good deeds and the truth will shine through in the end.
