State Police; NEC issues ultimatum to four States to submit position paper

Kwara, Kebbi, Adamawa States, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has been granted a one-week deadline by the National Economic Council (NEC) to submit their positions on the proposed establishment of state police.

These regions are the only ones yet to provide their stance on the matter, out of the 36 states in the country.

The directive was issued during the NEC meeting held on Thursday, chaired by Vice President Kashim Shettima at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma shared the update with the press following the meeting.
