Terrorists attack checkpoint, kill police officer
A devastating incident unfolded at a police checkpoint in Abakaliki today as armed assailants launched a violent attack, resulting in the tragic death of an officer.
Confirming the distressing events, DSP Joshua Ukandu, the police spokesperson in Ebonyi, noted that the gunmen not only took the life of a brave officer but also set the police vehicle at the checkpoint on fire.

“Early this morning, a heartbreaking incident occurred. While I am still gathering all the pertinent information, it is with deep sorrow that I confirm the loss of one of our officers and the destruction of a police vehicle in the attack.”
