THE MUSIC INDUSTRY IS NOT WHAT YOU THINK IT IS – RIHANNA

After getting signed by Jay Z to Def Jam in 2005, I realized the industry was far from what it looked like. There were prices you have to pay to succeed.. At that point there was no turning back. I can’t say much obviously. You were forced to strike deals with people and forces way above your league. You passed their message through music and signs.

I have paid my dues and I have worked hard to become who I am. I am the richest female artist in the world. One of the best selling artists of all time too. A. Billionaire by 36. Yes, I’ve worked and I got what I deserved.

I would count myself as really lucky, not many stars in the industry have a fairytale ending. I’ve got two wonderful kids that are literally my life. ASAP is the best partner any woman could ask for.. And really, I’m just one lucky girl
