Both artists became the most famous and most sought Igbo musical legends in 2024 with their works of past decades coming back into trends. Effortlessly they attracted the younger generation of entertainers into working with them directly or seeking to use their pieces of work to enhance theirs.
2024 has been an amazing year for both Mike Ejeagha, of the gwogwogwongwo and Uwa mgbede fame and the Unubi born Theresa Onuora, the Ijele erubego and Obodo crooner even without them asking for it nor doing anything particularly towards the achievements .
They will both live the rest of their lives enjoying the fruits of the works of their prime days and still be remembered for their legacies and sacrifices both in the entertainment industry and in preserving the Igbo cultural heritage.
I’ll say congratulations to them and officially celebrate them as My own Igbo man and woman of the year 2024.
