Thierry Henry has given away what Arsenal have to do to beat Bayern Munich this evening
Arsenal face Bayern Munich on Wednesday evening in what may be the Gunners’ biggest game in years. A place in the Champions League semi-finals is at stake here, and Arsenal will be desperate to get a win here.
Of course, beating Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena is much easier said than done, but the Gunners do stand a good chance here.
Speaking on CBS, Thierry Henry has been discussing this game, and he’s shared a route towards victory for Arsenal.
Thierry Henry shares how Arsenal beat Bayern Munich
The Frenchman spoke about his former team’s chances on Wednesday, and he says that Arsenal need to come out and play against Bayern rather than being sheltered, claiming that they have to be stronger on the ball.
“We all know what happened with Arsenal at the weekend and Bayern Munich lost the title. They have to go there and play. We all know that Mikel likes to play a certain way when a team is on the ball, he retreats and tries to counter, but at times we have to be better on the ball like we did in the second-half at the Emirates against Bayern if we want to disturb them because they are vulnerable,” Henry said.
Arsenal can win against Bayern Munich
It’s not going to be easy, but Arsenal can get a result here.
The Gunners have done really well away from home this season against top sides such as Liverpool and Manchester City, and if they can repeat that trick here, they will at least take Bayern to extra-time.
Of course, in an ideal world, as Henry says, Arsenal come out to play and sweep Bayern Munich aside, but Mikel Arteta does like to play conservatively in these big away games, and that has proven to be a tactic that works this season.
