Ondo: Truck crushes 2 siblings to death
In a tragic incident, two siblings lost their lives when a truck loaded with sand crushed them along the ldi-Mango area in Ore, Odigbo council area of Ondo state.
The accident occurred around 10:25 am on Saturday when the victims, riding on a motorcycle, collided with the truck, according to eyewitnesses.
Eyewitnesses attributed the crash to the victims’ carelessness while on the highway, stating that they slipped on the motorcycle and collided with the oncoming truck from the Okitipupa route.
“The driver of the truck fled the scene, leaving the truck to be taken to the police station in Ore”.

Speaking on the incident, the state commander of the FRSC, Ezekiel Son-Allah, stated that overspeeding by the victims contributed to the crash. He urged motorcyclists to avoid overspeeding to prevent such tragedies.
“The bodies of the victims were deposited at the General Hospital mortuary in Ore, while the crashed vehicles were handed over to the police in Ore Division”.
