Understanding the “Dubai-Taiwan” Metaphor in Anambra – Governor Soludo Clarifies.
Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, has addressed widespread misconceptions surrounding his administration’s “Dubai-Taiwan” development metaphor. In a recent statement, he explained that many have misunderstood the slogan, assuming it refers to a transformation focused solely on erecting skyscrapers and improving infrastructure.
“The Dubai-Taiwan vision we talk about is not about building tall buildings or extravagant infrastructure immediately,” the governor stated. “It is a metaphor for a focus on education. Taiwan’s success today was built on a solid foundation of educational investments. That is precisely what we are doing in Anambra.”
Governor Soludo emphasized that the ongoing efforts to revolutionize education in the state are laying the groundwork for Anambra’s future success, much like the transformation seen in Taiwan. “We are building the foundation today to create the Dubai-Taiwan of tomorrow,” he concluded.
