VDM Accuses Falz and His Father, Femi Falana of Aiding Bobrisky in Alleged Bribery Scandal

Nigerian social media activist, Martin Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDark Man (VDM), has intensified his accusations in the ongoing scandal surrounding popular crossdresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky. In a fresh development, VDM has now implicated renowned Nigerian rapper Falz and his father, prominent human rights lawyer Femi Falana (SAN), in the saga, alleging that they played a role in Bobrisky’s alleged evasion of prison time.

Earlier, VDM had claimed that Bobrisky paid the sum of N15 million to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to have a money laundering case against him dropped. This case, according to VDM, was one of several legal battles the crossdresser has faced in recent times.

In a video recently shared on social media, VDM expressed his shock and disappointment, revealing that Falz, real name Folarin Falana, and his father, Femi Falana, reportedly advised Bobrisky to pay an additional N10 million in order to settle his legal issues and avoid being jailed. VDM claims that the duo intervened in Bobrisky’s favor by using their legal expertise to help him navigate the situation, thus averting a prison sentence.

VDM’s allegations have sparked widespread reactions on social media, with many expressing disbelief over the involvement of such highly respected figures in Nigerian society. Some supporters of Falz and his father have, however, defended them, arguing that as lawyers, their role may have been to simply provide legal representation and not to condone any wrongdoing.

In the video, VDM played audio recordings of conversations in which Bobrisky allegedly discussed his payment to the EFCC and the steps taken to settle his case. The activist concluded his remarks by lamenting that figures like Falz and Femi Falana, who are known for championing social justice, should have upheld the rule of law instead of allegedly facilitating the payment to protect Bobrisky from legal consequences.

As the online debate rages, both Falz and Femi Falana have yet to publicly respond to the accusations made by VDM. The revelations have fueled a broader conversation on social media about corruption, the justice system, and the role of influential individuals in shaping legal outcomes for the wealthy and powerful.

Bobrisky, on his part, has not commented on the fresh allegations, maintaining his usual social media presence amid the unfolding drama. The EFCC has also not issued any official statement in response to the bribery claims.

The case continues to draw attention, as Nigerians await further clarification from those implicated in the controversy. Observers are watching closely to see whether this issue will lead to any legal action or public statements from those involved.
