Victor Osimhen: Chelsea to hand Super Eagles striker to Enzo Maresca as welcome present
Chelsea are pushing to complete a move for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen as soon as possible.
Enzo Maresca is expected to be confirmed as the new Chelsea boss next week, with a 5-year contract already agreed upon.
The Blues are keen to return to the pinnacle of English football and have identified the Leicester City manager, who pulled off an impressive season with the Foxes.
Chelsea pushing to seal Osimhen transfer
The Sun reports that Chelsea have reignited their interest in Osimhen, who’s expected to depart Napoli this summer, armed with a hefty €130m release clause.
The Blues have been watching Osimhen for years and aim to steal a march on Premier League rivals Arsenal and Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain in securing his signature.
However, before the Blues can make any expensive signings, they must raise funds by selling some homegrown stars to comply with FFP. Conor Gallagher has been touted as a potential departure, with Aston Villa and Tottenham linked.
