Idanre Hill, also known as Oke Idanre, is situated in Idanre town, located in Ondo State, southwestern Nigeria. Renowned for its picturesque landscape, the hill boasts a rich array of cultural sites including Owa’s Palace, shrines, The Old Court, Belfry, Agbooogun footprint, thunder water (Omi Apaara), and burial grounds. Its cultural significance has earned it a nomination for the UNESCO World Heritage Site shortlist. Rising 3000 ft (914.4 meters) above sea level, Idanre Hill harbors a unique ecosystem that has become intertwined with its cultural landscape. Moreover, it encompasses diverse flora and fauna, making it a vital ecological and geological feature in the region.
