You are afraid of Igbos, probably because you can’t compete with them in your own land, so you ask them to leave.

One of my friends once told me that there’s no way someone from another part of Nigeria can establish a business inside one of the biggest markets in Igboland and compete with them. That is one of the reasons why people are not establishing businesses in Igboland. He said, ‘How do you expect someone to open an electronic shop in a market where there are more than a thousand people selling the same thing? Even your neighbour is selling the same thing, but to Igbos, it means nothing. They will still do well. They have even introduced this kind of business all over the country.’

He added that the kind of business they know and can do is to be the sole person selling a particular item in an area, where everyone will come to them because they are the only dealer in that area. People will even call them at home to come and sell something.

So my people, you see why some are not comfortable with us. It’s because most of them can’t compete with Igbos in terms of business in their own land.
