He stated: “It was not possible for him to be with us due to a [lack of] work permit. He had to take action, so he moved to Girona [on loan], and now that he’s settled in well at Villa, I’m glad for him.

When the midfielder from Vasco De Gama was just 19 years old, City signed him to a five-year contract during the summer transfer window of 2017.
