According to reports, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has planned to bring in three players for Manchester United this summer.

To aid in the team’s rebuilding, the club’s new minority owner is reportedly in the market for a center back, a right back, and a striker. He is still unsure about one position, though.

In order to help the team return to contending for the Premier League title and beyond, Ratcliffe, 71, is prepared to make investments in the team. Furthermore, Ratcliffe knows exactly where he wants to spend his money, despite the fact that the team’s manager for the upcoming season is still up in the air.

As former Real Madrid player Raphael Varane enters the final year of his contract, The Telegraph (via The Mirror) reported that a central defender is at the top of his list. It’s also unclear if Victor Lindelof, Jonny Evans, and Harry Maguire will stick around.

Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi and Everton prospect Jarrad Branthwaite are anticipated to be targets for United. But neither will be inexpensive—it is anticipated that each asset will cost more than £50 million.

With Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot vying for the right-back position, Ratcliffe wants to bolster that position. Wan-Bissaka’s contract expires in just a year, so he may decide to rejoin Palace, his previous employer.

United is also in the market for a new striker, even though Rasmus Hojlund, who cost the team £72 million last summer, has been performing admirably since his arrival. However, the group wants to support him more.

With two seasons remaining on his contract and one season under his belt, Casemiro’s situation could have a significant impact on the Red Devils’ decision to sign a new midfield player. Additionally, there are rumors that he might be the most recent to leave for Saudi Arabia.

Ratcliffe discussed last month how crucial it is to select the team’s players carefully. “I think recruitment is critical in the modern game,” he stated. Despite their obvious large spending, Manchester United hasn’t performed as well as some other teams.”

“So when I was talking about being best in class in all aspects of football, recruitment is clearly top of the list,” the billionaire continued. My main concern now is getting hired in a reputable company later on. Regarding the past, there’s not much I can do. Thus, we are focusing exclusively on how to recruit the best candidates possible moving forward. which implies you need the appropriate individuals.”
