CP visits crime scene as gunmen kill two Military personnel
The Abia State Commissioner of Police, CP Danladi Isa, recently visited a military checkpoint in Umopara, Umuahia South Local Government Area, following an attack on Wednesday that claimed the lives of two army officers stationed there.
The assailants, still unidentified, struck the checkpoint, leaving the officers on duty fatally wounded.
Arriving at the scene at 10:30 AM with his team, CP Isa carried out an operational assessment of the area, engaging directly with Lt. Imran Adamu Musa and his unit who were deployed at the checkpoint.
The visit also included an extended patrol, which, in collaboration with Lt. Musa, moved beyond the state boundary into Onuimo, Obowo Local Government Area in Imo State.
Throughout the patrol, CP Isa made key observations on the security situation, offering strategic recommendations to improve safety measures and strengthen the overall security framework in the region.
