Famous Nigerian Pastor celebrates birthday, receives Rolls Royce, N1 billion as gift from members

On September 27, dignitaries, clerics, friends, and family gathered at Living Faith Church Worldwide’s headquarters in Ota, Ogun State, to celebrate the 70th birthday of Bishop David Oyedepo.

The auditorium was packed with guests dressed in white and blue, rejoicing alongside the renowned cleric.

In the lead-up to his birthday, Oyedepo had asked church members to focus on soul-winning as a gift. However, he received several lavish presents, including a Rolls Royce Cullinan and a remarkable donation of N1 billion to provide meals for over 50,000 people at the church headquarters, Canaanland.

President Bola Tinubu had commended Oyedepo for his leadership legacy and the church’s significant contributions to education, health, and entrepreneurship.

The festivities were highlighted by the joyful dancing of the celebrant, who enjoyed performances from gospel artists like Adeyinka Alaseyori and Nathaniel Bassey.

Oyedepo, while speaking at the event said: “I give glory to God. I am a representative of the icon of icons, who is Jesus; my glory and lifter of my head. I am simply fronting for him. He is the one behind the scenes working 24 hours every day. A man cannot be any more than the grace of God at work in him. I will never pose to be an achiever but one who is a beneficiary of God’s grace.”

His wife proudly shared her desire to have a mansion next to his in heaven, highlighting her deep affection for him.

The celebration attracted a distinguished guest list, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo and the governors of Lagos, Ogun, and Delta states: Dapo Abiodun, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and Sheriff Oborevwori.

Also in attendance were Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun and prominent clerics such as Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, along with his wife Foluke, as well as Poju Oyemade, Jerry Eze, Matthew Ashimolowo, Paul Enenche, Daniel Olawande, Korede Komaiya, David Ibiyiome, amongst others.
