Cole Palmer is set to become the first player in 14 years to win the golden boot for Chelsea if he continues in stunning form. Palmer is having an outstanding season for Chelsea despite the club enduring a miserable campaign to date. His goals yesterday sees him join a short list of players who have scored FOUR goals for Chelsea.

The scoring season he is enjoying has also seen him break several statistics in his first season at the club. His feats put him in the same conversation as a number of Chelsea, and Premier League greats.

Palmer is set to become the first player in 14 years to win the golden boot for Chelsea since Drogba in 2009/10.

So, who are the last players to win the golden boot for Chelsea in the Premier League?

Didier Drogba picked up his second golden boot award for Chelsea in the 2009/2010 season. He also reached 100 goals for Chelsea that season and picked up the league and cup double.

His 29 league goals that season was more than everyone else’s in yet another dominant Season for the Chelsea legend.
