Nasarawa State University Students Diè In Stampede Over Rice Palliative

 

Information reaching Becksblog.com.ng indicates, that there has been a distressing situation on Friday, March 22 after several students from Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) reportedly lose their lives in a stampede while struggling for rice intended as palliative aid from the state government.

The students are said to have allegedly broken into the warehouse where the food items were kept ready to be distributed on Friday morning, March 22.

Eyewitnesses state that the students overwhelmed the security personnel stationed at the warehouse and forcibly entered, scrambling for the palliative aid.

Becksblog has learned that certain students scheduled to receive palliative aid from the state government were provided with cards granting them access to the distribution venue yesterday.

It has been gathered that as early as 5 am, students had already occupied the area, overpowering the security personnel and forcibly entering the warehouse, leading to the tragic stampede.
