Pastor Adeboye tenders public apologises for saying one might not make heaven without paying tithes  – Crime Channels

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has issued an apology for his previous sermon suggesting that Christians who do not pay tithe might not make it to heaven.

In a recent address to his congregation, which was captured in a viral video, Adeboye admitted that his earlier claim was a “mistake” and clarified that the Bible does not support such a view.

He emphasised that according to the Bible, living peacefully and in holiness are the true conditions for entering heaven.

He said: “I apologise for saying ‘If you don’t pay tithe, you might not make it to heaven.’ I’m sorry, that’s wrong, and it’s not in the Bible. What the Bible says is ‘Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see God’.”
