Royal Rumble: Abia State Denies Receiving Any Order to Un-Crown Eze Aro!
The Abia State Government has debunked rumours that the newly crowned Eze Aro, Dr. Eberechukwu Oji, has been stripped of his office staff, clarifying that no court order to that effect has been received.
It was previously reported that the Abia State High Court at Nkwoagu Isuochi, under Justice Chido Nwakanma, instructed Dr. Oji on July 31 to stop acting as Eze Aro. This order stemmed from a suit by President General Ibom Isii, Mazi Adolphus Nwankwo, and others representing the 19 villages of Arochukwu kingdom.
However, Special Adviser to the governor on Media and Publicity, Mr. Ferdinand Ekeoma, dismissed the rumour, calling it baseless and unfounded. He emphasized that the government issues the staff of office and recognises every Eze, asserting that no legitimate court order had been received.
The claimants in the suit maintained that HRM Eze Godwin Kanu Idei Kanu Okoro Oke had already been crowned on October 20, 2023, prior to the lawsuit.
