The Greek island of Kimolos, located in the Aegean Sea, has a beach with the cleanest water in the world, Greek media report, citing a study conducted by the American travel agency Florida Panhandle.
The analysis, which took into account the opinions of 2.4 million tourists, selected the winner – Prassa beach.
Prassa, the pearl of the Cyclades archipelago, has won the title of the beach with the cleanest waters in the world, reports the Greek Reporter website.
Moreover, most of the beaches that received the highest ratings in terms of water cleanliness are located in Greece.
Prassa Beach, located in the northeast of Kimolos Island, is a real gem. The island, inhabited by less than a thousand people, offers tourists not only pristine waters, but also the peace and charm of a small, uncrowded community.
The year 2023 brought a significant increase in the number of tourists to Greece. The country was visited by over 36 million people, which is an increase of 20.8%. compared to the previous year.
Most tourists chose the Attica region, but it was in the South Aegean Islands that they left the most money and booked the most accommodations.
These results show that Greece, especially its islands, continues to attract tourists with its natural beauty and unique climate. And Prassa beach on Kimolos, with the cleanest waters in the world, is certainly one of the main magnets on the tourist map of this country.
