During Ramadan, a Muslim woman named Alhaja created a stir by collapsing on the roadside when she declined a stranger’s offer of Maltina drink, citing her fasting as the reason she couldn’t consume anything.
The event was recorded in a video with the caption: “She abstained from drinking malt due to fasting.”
A bystander who happened to be present during the incident shared multiple videos on social media.
In one of the attached videos, Alhaja collapsed while walking on the road. Passersby promptly came to her aid, reviving her by sprinkling water on her face and administering other medical procedures.
In an attempt to stabilize her and prevent further unconsciousness, she was offered a malt drink, but despite pleas from the bystanders, Alhaja refused.
She continued to refuse the drink for several hours, despite numerous people pleading with her, insisting that she wouldn’t break her Ramadan fast.
Alhaja’s actions drew attention on social media, with many people sharing their thoughts in the comment section of the post.
