Peter Obi didn’t give us anything, if it was Tinubu he would have given us money — Portable after meeting ex-Anambra Gov

Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable has publicly expressed his disappointment following a recent meeting with Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate.

The encounter took place over the weekend in Benin, Edo State, where Obi was supporting Olumide Akpata, the Labour Party’s gubernatorial candidate, while Portable was in town for a performance.

In a video that has gone viral, Portable is seen enthusiastically greeting Obi near his car, bowing and exchanging pleasantries.

However, shortly after the meeting, Portable voiced his frustration, lamenting that Obi did not provide him with any financial assistance.

Speaking in Yoruba, Portable contrasted Obi with Bola Tinubu, implying that the current president would have been more generous in a similar situation.

Portable said: “Obi didn’t give us anything. If it was Tinubu, he would have given us something. Let’s go.”
